Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I ride or do I have to volunteer?
Any teammates who either want to ride or volunteer, may. Those teammates who contribute by doing either will receive their division of whatever the ride produces financially. We officially have about 20 riders who have paid and registered--about 15 from Flagstaff! Here is the link to register:

Do we need more volunteers?
We need volunteers--men for rest stops, SAG and anyone to help haul supplies.

Do I have to register online?
You can send a form in so that all of the $$ goes to our team or you can register on Active.com that takes a percentage of the fee which is now $40.

Can we promote this?
YES! Please forward the link to your cycling friends for volunteers and for participants.

What does the $40 get participants?
Route support, rest stop refueling, pre-ride bagels, SAG, goodie bag, and post-ride snack.

Will we have jerseys for sale?
If they are done in time, yes, if not, then just T-Shirts.

Where does the money go?
All proceeds benefit our team. If you ride, volunteer, recruit riders etc. your fee will be directly applied toward your $250 PLUS any other proceeds will be split among teammates.

Fundraising:
We are attempting to raise most of our funds through two events. However, I encourage you to send emails to your friends and family to give to the society on your behalf. However, if you want to do something on your own to raise money, please do consider doing so. A tewam mate and I have both had success by holding chili or taco lunches for coworkers
Everyone was invited to eat and donate to our team. Everyone said they would contribute and we both made several hundred dollars in donations. It was fun and everyone enjoyed sharing lunch.
